The High School Completion Program is conveniently located at the Canyon Heights High School, 525 E 300 S. in Kaysville, UT.
Instruction is individualized, courses are self-paced, and computer-assisted instruction is available in a state-of-the-art computer lab. We will follow the Davis Learning Together Big Five plan in our building and in all classes which includes hand sanitizer in each classroom.
Credit evaluation, education/occupation planning and counseling services are available.
We also offer a complete transition program for students as they complete high school and move on to higher education and employment goals.
Classes are open-entry, open-exit and are offered year round from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Fridays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Canyon Heights location. Evening classes are taught at two different locations for students 18+. Evening classes for high school diploma at Canyon Heights location are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Evening Classes for GED at Canyon Heights are Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00-8:00pm. Evening classes for high school diploma at DCLC are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5:30-8:30pm.
All instructors are experienced and fully accredited through the Utah State Office of Education.
Twenty-four (24) credits are needed for an Adult High School Diploma in the Davis School District. These include 18.5 core credits in the following areas:
4 credits - English
3 credits - Mathematics
3 credits - Science
3 credits - Social Studies
2 credits - Healthy Life Styles
1.5 credits - Art
1 credit - Career Technology Education
.5 credit - Digital Studies
.5 credit- General Financial Literacy
The additional 5.5 credits are elective, and may be earned in traditional subject areas and/or through work experience (up to 4 credits), professional licensing and certified skill training (up to 3 credits), and military experience (up to 3 credits).
